Gustavo Tapia Casarrubias was born in Puebla, Mexico. He was raised in a humble, hard-working and religious family. They immigrated to the United States when he was little; however they moved back and forth a few times. He attended junior high and high school in San Diego’s North County, where he eventually married and had three loving kids. After working in the hospitality and tourism industry for several years, he ventured to open up his own mobile car wash. After issues with his immigration status, he arrived to the city of Tijuana in early 2014. There he reunited with his longtime high school pal, Daniel Varela. He started helping with a program that focuses in helping under-privileged kids around the community; The First Goal, Inc. Gustavo’s principals of respect, humility, and his indissoluble need to help loved ones made him a perfect fit for this expanding project. He supports and cheers for every kid in the program and would like to finish a higher-education degree, in order to help these younger generations succeed.
